EarlyBird at Home

Take the EarlyBird Assessment to Get Started with EarlyBird at Home

We get it. Understanding whether your child is on track to become a strong reader or at risk for reading challenges like dyslexia is important. That's why EarlyBird at Home starts with our award-winning Assessment. The Assessment gives you a clear view of your child's reading profile and any risk for reading challenges.

Your child can take the assessment when it's convenient for you to see if EarlyBird at Home is right for your family.

The EarlyBird Assessment is currently available for students in PreK, Kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd grades.

How to Get Started

Our game-based assessment is designed to provide a holistic view of your child's unique reading profile which will help us to tailor the EarlyBird at Home program to their needs.

To get started:

  • Fill out the registration form to the right so that we can get you the right assessment for your child's grade level.
  • We will send you instructions on how to access the assessment, and your child can take it whenever is convenient for your family.
  • Your child will complete a series of activities designed to evaluate critical skills necessary for predicting reading difficulties.
  • We'll send you a report outlining your child's results and recommended next steps.

The assessment typically takes between 30 minutes and one hour, depending on your child's grade level. Some of the activities will require verbal responses, while others will require your child to complete on-screen tasks

For the best experience for your child, we recommend using a tablet device (either an iPad or Chromebook) but if you do not have one available, your child can take the assessment in a web browser on a computer.
